Chef George Woods, affectionately known as “Chef Cowboy,” has turned his passion for the culinary arts into a dynamic and multifaceted career. With over 12 years of professional experience, Chef Cowboy is the proud owner of Cowboy of the Kitchen Private Chef Services, where he delivers personalized dining experiences, and Cooking with Chef Cowboy: A Culinary Adventure, a mobile cooking school dedicated to teaching kids the joys of cooking.
Chef Cowboy’s impressive career includes extensive experience in unique and high-profile settings, such as cooking aboard luxury yachts, private planes, and catering exclusive events for distinguished clients. This diverse background has honed his ability to craft exceptional culinary experiences in any environment, bringing creativity, precision, and artistry to every dish.
In addition to his culinary expertise, Chef Cowboy has years of teaching experience, sharing his knowledge and skills with students of all ages. He has taught youth cooking classes, high school culinary programs, advanced culinary training in the military, adult education courses, and senior citizens in retirement homes. His passion for education and hands-on, engaging instruction inspires his students to develop confidence, creativity, and a love for cooking, no matter their age or skill level.
Beyond his private chef services and teaching roles, Chef Cowboy is passionate about giving back to the community. A dedicated advocate for culinary education, he leads interactive, hands-on cooking classes for children through his mobile school, helping them build life skills and discover the magic of food.
Chef Cowboy has also been actively involved with the American Culinary Federation, serving as a board member in both the Tampa Bay, Florida and San Antonio, Texas chapters. He is currently the Chef and Child Chair, where he focuses on promoting child nutrition and community outreach through educational and fun initiatives. Additionally, he proudly serves as the Texas Ambassador for the Burnt Chef Initiative, an international movement dedicated to supporting mental health and wellness within the hospitality industry.
When he’s not creating unforgettable culinary experiences or championing community causes, Chef Cowboy enjoys experimenting with new recipes, spending time with his family, and exploring how food brings people together. His mission is to inspire others—both in the kitchen and beyond—through the power of food, creativity, and connection.
